Phoenix – Arizona’s Interesting Capital
Phoenix in the Sonora Desert is a big city of more than 1.5 million inhabitants. Despite that there is a good degree of small-town charm here. In the city, you have a choice of lots of diverting free time activities ranging from shopping to art exhibitions. As a counter to the offers of a modern city there is the possibility of taking excursions into the surroundings: A spectacular desert landscape awaits. Rough rocks, metres-high cacti and mountains made of different colour rocks characterize the landscape around Phoenix.
Indian Art of Past Centuries Kunst
If you intend to discover more about the original cultures in southwestern America, a visit to the Heard museum is to be recommended. There are artefacts and crafted objects to see that in some cases date to pre-Columbian times. Information about the lives of the Hopi Indians is offered in the form of exhibits, performances and a festival. Every March the “Indian Fair and Market” takes place which gives the many visitors live acts and artworks to admire.
