Archaeological Museum: Discover the past

Two special treasures are among the many valuable exhibits of the museum - one of them stems from between the 4th and 6th centuries and thrills with its chiselled gold decoration; the other treasure dates to the years 4,600 to 4,200 BC, and encompasses golden jewellery and different vessels made from noble metal, as well as weapons. The preserved works of the Tryavna Art School are also incredibly interesting.
Experience a colourful underwater world at Varna Aquarium
Varna Aquarium is in the giant “Sea Garden” park, like many other museums. Here you’ll find an interesting impression of the local animals and plants which inhabit the Black Sea. The aquarium displays a rich collection of unusual fish species. There is also a special area focusing on mineral resources. The three departments of the aquarium are “Fish”, “Oceanography of the Black Sea” and the “Collection of Bulgaria’s rare animals”. Observe urchins, catfish, carps, piranhas and many more!
